String Quartet No.2 "This world is a dream..."

弦楽四重奏第二番「うつし世は、ゆめ」

This work was first performed by Quartet Excelsior at the 6th Tsukuba Recital series (December 11, 2017) and is dedicated to this string quartet. The individual movements are called as "Beyond that Hill", "A Vision at Holy Evening", and "A Garden full of Light". As this concert series is mainly for students, I intended to write dramatic music with easy flowing melody.

第六回つくばリサイタル・シリーズ（2017年12月11日）で、クァルテット・エクセルシオによって初演され、同団に献呈されました。「あの丘の向こうに」「聖なる夜のまぼろし」「光あふれる庭」と題された三つの楽章からなっています。学生が多く来場する演奏会という性格もあって、メロディアスでダイナミズムにあふれるドラマティックな音楽を書きたいと思いました。
