Dieterich Buxtehude (c. 1637 – 9 May 1707) was a Danish organist and composer of the Baroque period, whose works are typical of the North German organ school. As a composer who worked in various vocal and instrumental idioms, Buxtehude's style greatly influenced other composers, such as Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel. Buxtehude is considered one of the most important composers of the 17th century.

ディートリヒ・ブクステフーデ (1637年頃 - 1707年5月9日）は、17世紀の北ドイツおよびバルト海沿岸地域、プロイセンを代表する作曲家・オルガニストである。声楽作品においては、バロック期ドイツの教会カンタータの形成に貢献する一方、オルガン音楽においては、ヤン・ピーテルスゾーン・スウェーリンクに端を発する北ドイツ・オルガン楽派の最大の巨匠であり、その即興的・主情的な作風はスティルス・ファンタスティクス（幻想様式）の典型とされている。
