Lacrimosa
ラクリモサ
"Lacrimosa: A Tribute to the Works of Atsushi Hirasawa" was originally composed for Trio Zephyrus (Masako Shindo, soprano; Kiyonori Sogabe, trumpet; Yasuko Ii, organ). It is a piece inspired by the paintings of Atsushi Hirasawa, who passed away on October 10, 2018. Although a premiere by the trio was originally planned, it has not yet taken place due to various circumstances. This sheet music is a revised version in which the organ part has been replaced by the piano.
The first section is tonal (modulating from D minor to B minor), with the main portion based on the “Lacrimosa” from the Mozart Requiem (as completed by Süssmayr). It shares the same “Larghetto”, 12/8 time signature, D minor key, and opening vocal motif (A–F), though it diverges from Mozart's original at the third note. While there is some repetition of the lyrics, the text remains the standard Latin liturgical version.
The piece opens with an open fifth (D and A) on the organ and repeats the *Lacrimosa* theme twice; following an atonal section characterized by wide-ranging movement, the work concludes with a D major tonic chord. As the paintings by Atsushi Hirasawa that inspired the piece are highly realistic yet lyrical, the music itself is also grounded in a lyrical quality.
This work was premiered on August 9, 2026, in Shikoku-chuo City, performed by Akari Morizane (soprano), Kiyonori Sokabe (trumpet), and Akane Kidawara (piano).
「ラクリモサ～平澤篤の作品によせて」はもともとトリオ・ゼフュロス（ソプラノ：新藤昌子、トランペット：曽我部清典、オルガン：飯靖子）のために書かれた。2018年10月10日亡くなった平澤篤の絵画に寄せた曲である。同トリオによる初演を予定していたが、諸般の事情により未だ実現していない。本作品は、オルガンをピアノに置き換えて改作したものである。
前半は調性をもち（ニ短調からロ短調へ）、主たる部分はモーツァルト版（ジェズマイヤー補作）のLacrimosaを下敷きにしている。すなわち、同じLargetto、同じ8分の12拍子、同じニ短調、同じ歌いだし(a f)で、3つ目の音でモーツァルトから離れる。歌詞は一部繰り返しがありますが、ラテン語典礼文のままである。
曲頭はオルガンのDとAの空虚5度ではじまり、Lacrimosa を二回くりかえし、そのあと、動きの大きな無調部分をはさんで、最後はニ長調の主和音で曲を閉じる。曲のヒントとなった平澤篤の絵画が、極めて写実的かつ抒情的なところから、この音楽も抒情性に基調を置くものとなった。
本作品は、ソプラノ 森實あかり、トランペット 曽我部清典、ピアノ 木俵茜により、2026年8月9日、土居文化会館ユーホール、四国中央市にて初演された。
